Mmm...mmm...take a look at these beauties! We take our classic croissant dough - with all 96 layers of Normandy butter - and envelope our house made blackberry compote and Valrhona dark chocolate. After they come out of the oven, we brush on some simple syrup to give it a little extra sweetness and a crunchy finish. Pre-orders for this week are now open! While definitely not required, a pre-order will guarantee we'll have what you're craving and you get to hop to the front of the line when you arrive. CELEBRATE Happy birthday to Joshua! Joshua, pictured on the far right, is our night shift croissant production assistant. He's coming up soon on his one year anniversary with IZOLA and we are grateful for your contributions Joshua! Thanks to Dojo Lead Lidia for taking the time to organize a nice celebration for the Dojo team. It's always busy at the bakeshop and our teams are working hard, but we are grateful for this reminder of how important it is for us to slow down, celebrate and appreciate one another. Admittedly this is something that Jenny and I still need to work on, but what we've learned is to seize even the smallest moments. Whether that's taking a 15 minute break and going for a walk around the block together with our pup Sam, or even just lingering for 30 seconds longer when giving each other a hug goodbye.
