We are down to the last 30 days of our current equity raise. If you've been considering investing in IZOLA, now is the time!
Â
As a thank you to our over 500 investors, we will be extending a pretty special investor-only opportunity as we approach our reopening, where you'll be invited to our soft opening, which will not be open to the general public. New Flavors! Meet the Chefs! Tour the kitchen! But you must invest by February 29th to get on the list!

Jenny and I will provide the latest updates on our renovation, detail what your investment will help us accomplish over the next few years, and answer any questions you might have.

WHAT'S COOKIN'?
Â
Yesterday, we had a super fun day with an EPIC test bake at the bakeshop. The team prepared 26 variations of croissant and sourdough flaves. From house-made blueberry jam + brie croissant to Ti' Punch Coco Sourdough. Pushing the limits! Most of the ideas fail....but there are a few real jewels. After much hard work in the past weeks, I'm proud to congratulate the IZOLA Core team - we approved an unprecedented three new flavors yesterday.
Â
But IZOLA is not simply about the food. Sure, it starts there - we only serve what we love. Passion. Integrity. Curation.
Â
But what makes IZOLA different? Experience. How we feel as we gather is just as important, if not more, than the food. There's something so special about breaking bread with friends, family, colleagues, strangers...And yesterday, we had bounty at our table...joy.
Â
Pastors Jay, Carlos, and Gina from Common(s) Church joined us at our tasting table. They have been great friends of IZOLA from the very beginning. And as neighbors here in the Ratner building, they've often provided us encouragement and support. Each time they saw our tired faces....a hug and a smile.
Â
And another super special guest today - Spencer! Spencer was employee #1 at IZOLA and was the ONLY employee for a long time. From the beginning of our journey together, Spencer has shared with me his dreams of doing music full-time, and he's been living that dream for the past year since he left IZOLA. We are so proud of Spencer - going after his dreams, doing hard things, taking risks...and seeing the joy it brings? Nothing is more rewarding!
Â
Jay, Carlos, Gina, and Spencer, thanks for breaking bread with us today. We're grateful for you.

RENOVATION UPDATE
A quick note on our pending renovation: We're still working through all the ups and downs that come along with a complex project like this! We'll share more as soon as we can!
WHAT MAKES IZOLA DIFFERENT?
Â
We serve our croissants and sourdough hot from the oven, the same way you feed the people you love.
We're passionate about creating a memorable culinary experience and, more importantly, delightful hospitality for our guests.
We use only the best-tasting ingredients - butter from Normandy, free-range eggs, organic flour, and grass-fed milk. How do we know what's "best"? We test and test and test...more than 800 tests to date.
Justice-based mission: We provide opportunities and take action on racial justice, gender justice, economic justice, LGBTQIA+ justice, and environmental justice.
The IZOLA Almighty Guarantee: If you are not delighted with your IZOLA experience, we'll cheerfully refund you. Community feedback is valuable to us. To err is human....to recover well, IZOLA.
Believe in what we do?Â
We want to scale IZOLA's impact. And IZOLA Main, our planned zero-emission dough factory in City Heights, is a key piece of the plan to invest in high-quality jobs in the community and make IZOLA available throughout southern California with a consistent supply of amazing dough. But we must be ready to fight to overcome business-as-usual. Will you invest today to power our progress and become an owner of IZOLA?
Â
This round's equity raise closes on February 29th. Please join us on Tuesday, February 6th, to learn how we can do this together. We'll be holding a fun conversation via Google Meet at 7 p.m. PST, where we'll be sharing with you the plans for IZOLA's future and how your investment determines IZOLA's impact in the future.

MAN OH MAN...
Â
The team keeps hitting home runs! We just completed a powerful week of testing. Not only are the bakes beautiful, but they satisfy our love of different textures while hitting umami, sweet, and salty notes. Jenny and I have also been having some pretty amazing Sunday morning breakfasts together using some of the newest savory croissants our team has been developing - like a carnitas breakfast sandwich and our bibimbap croissant topped with a fried egg and sriracha...

CONGRATULATIONS!
We are thrilled to share the exciting news of Chef Lane's promotion to Bake Lead. In the short time that Lane has been with IZOLA, her unwavering dedication to the IZOLA mission has been nothing short of inspiring. Lane has played a pivotal role in fostering a stronger IZOLA culture through her passion and active contribution.
Â
Thank you, Lane, for your exceptional contributions! We're excited to continue this journey with you!
